Appetite Labs offers distribution, integration and implementation services for retail technology firms looking to penetrate the fast growing Philippines QSR market. Founded in 2013, Appetite Labs has grown currently into having thousands of nodes across over 600 stores in the Philippines

A rapid and fundamental change brought about by a result of rapid technological advances is being experienced by the Hospitality industry, especially in the food sector. From mobile ordering systems to alternative payment methodologies to tightly
integrated POS and inventory monitoring operations, big changes are coming to both front- and back-of-the house operations.

Appetite Labs works with innovative hospitality companies to bring their food service technologies to market in growing Asian markets. In Southeast Asia’s 5 largest countries alone, this represents a US $118 billion industry, with an expected 5% CAGR from 2011- 2016.

Gino Custodio

General Manager

Gino’s romance with IT services started when he first took a job at LogicaCMG, an international IT firm, as an Applications Consultant supporting SAP Plant Maintenance MAM for a utility company in the United Kingdom. Later on, he joined the Food Group of Ramcar Group of Companies, a Philippine enterprise empire which owns several massive companies including Motolite, Kaisa, KFC Philippines, Tokyo Tokyo and Mister Donut. Over the next 3 years, Gino took on various roles such as a Business Systems Analyst, a Jr. Project Manager and an IT Governance Lead. He ended his stint there as the Head of a 70-person support group managing thousands of nodes across the Philippines.

Immediately thereafter, Gino worked directly under Barrett Comiskey (inventor of various products including E-ink, the screen used on Kindle) at Migo Philippines, a media startup with a disruptive distribution model. After spending almost a year leading the IT support group of Migo, Gino joined Appetite Labs where he is presently the General Manager.

Gino is certified by APMG for ITIL Foundation v3 and holds a B.S. in Management Information Systems from the Ateneo de Manila University (Q.C. Metro Manila, Philippines)

Craig Panter

Strategic Advisor

Originally from Atlanta, U.S.A, Craig has over 20 years of business development experience in retail technology specialising in penetrating high growth, emerging markets. Currently residing in Singapore, and having lived in Asia for more than 15 years, Craig is currently the Chief Business Development Officer and Board Member for a New Zealand Retail Technology firm.

Craig previously worked as the Regional Business Development Head for NCR Asia-Pacific where he led the regional strategy for the Petroleum Retail & Hospitality verticals. This effort included several acquisitions and the setup of direct sales and product development centres in Singapore, Australia, and Shanghai. Under Craig’s sales leadership at NCR Asia-Pacific, over US$150M of deals were contracted and deployed including ExxonMobil, Shell, ConocoPhillips, Minor Food Group, KFC Philippines, and Burger King Asia-Pacific.

Craig holds a B.A. with Honors in International Studies from Oglethorpe University (Atlanta, U.S.A.) and a M.A. in International Economics from Sophia University (Tokyo).
